Samsung Smart View App Reviews

The app uses its own viewer which shows photos with any logical ordered (no chronological order or by album, totally unsorted, so by showing holidays you will see the end then go back then again the end...) and sometimes videos and photos are shown from up down or laying on the side (and you just cant rotate them, even if in iOS the photos and videos are already displayed correctly). In addition each photo has to load independently, so each time you wanna show another photo you will have to wait a few seconds, but if you let it there to long the TV will stop showing the photo and go back to a TV channel.

If youre doing something please make sure its working

Not what all the complaints are about. I got a pop up in my tv telling me this app was now available. So I downloaded the app. Works great! Not a single issue!

After months of updating and upgrading, still doesnt work! But no worries, monkeys are working on it!

No problems here. Worked the way it was supposed to! A bit of lag, but not too bad all things considered. I have F8000 TV.

I have a newer samsung tv and was looking for an app that would mirror my iPhone. I tried quit a few different apps and this one is the best so far.

It worked for a little bit then the wifi was not connected and it disconnected the wifi from my phone so i had to reenter the password which was annoying. It wont work again unless its my wifi but it was just working fine playing songs and videos.

No remote... Whats the point in having this app?

Says my pin is wrong. Its not. Ive also changed my pin and tried again. Still wont work.

They took away the most important feature of remote viewing your live tv on your mobile device. This is a major step backwards and honestly there is no reason to have this app anymore.

You would think Samsung is smart enough to include all their TVs. So bad

When I originally got the app (and tv) a year ago there were 2 Smart View apps. One (the older version) detected my TV but directed me to DL the newer version. Smart View 2.0 could not detect my TV :(. After an update some time later, 2.0 could detect my TV! Mysteriously it would not connect or work whatsoever with no explanation :(. Now, a year later, it has been renamed the official Smart View app, can detect my TV, tries to connect, then says my 1 year old TV is not supported for Smart View, even though this feature was advertised with the TV. I hate you Samsung.

The older version was not working, but the current version i downloaded to day works and i can stream videos, music and pictures to the Tv from my iphone 6

This app is almost genius. It really needs the ability to send apple store bought movies to the tv. I have read reviews where you removed the remote control feature. That is also a big negative. I would be willing to spend upwards of 20.00 usd for this app if this was all accomplished.

Same wifi and never detected my tv .....

The update is very choppy when viewing videos. The remote is gone. Although the layout looks better but it is non-functional. Too bad :(

The most disappointing update I had ever from any app. Removed all the good features from the previous app. Can someone tell me if there is any way to switch back to the previous version. Thanks. Should get zero star same pathetic update nothing.

Dont click to upgrade to this if you have a iPhone 4s. It will download but then freeze about 60% through installation(at least according to shading of the circle sweep on the app icon. Tried reboot and restart. Two versions ago has been the best for the 4s. (After the edition to be able to show pictures and video from phone was added but before it was played with)

This app will only pick up a selected number of tracks to play, instead of playing my whole Iphone5s library..

Iphone 5 & samsung 6500 4k are not compatible. Useless app for iphone 5
